Giants GM Todd Kelman comes up with a Cracker
Whilst Doug Christiansen, Giants Head Coach for the next two season, is spending countless hours looking at video high-light clip and or listening to former coaches and or players about a new import recruit he thinks might be a good fit for the up coming season is being considered.
Not to forget the odd round of golf with a selective few scouts plus other colleagues in the business is the order of the day especially if the weather is anything like we are enjoying here in the Provinces.
No one outworks Doug Christiansen and he is so methodical about how he achieves his final selection with countless names on his recruitment board of prospects. First he matches then hopefully betters what other Elite League teams are looking recruit on their roster by shear hard diligent thought provoking work.
Although the cool refreshing blast of air from the Odyssey Arena would certainly be welcomed on any of the scorchers we have been having. Certainly not ice hockey weather but in North America the Calder Cup is looking forward to watching the Toronto Marlies in the final this season plus the NHL working away towards the Stanley Cup finals.
We won’t mention the dismal performance of Canada’s National Hockey Team in the World Championships just completed in Finland but dwell on a more positive note coming from the Giants GM Todd Kelman.
These are his word to the hockey loving fans where ever. “Have you ever wished that the Belfast Giants signed your favorite player or thought of something great that we could pull off on a game night at the Odyssey Arena?
Have you ever wanted the Belfast Giants to sell a cool piece of merchandise that you saw at a game or event somewhere else? Or any crazy ideas for promotions on game night that you think would be a success at the Odyssey”?
Now there is a full bag of mail of your thoughts before you’ve drawn breath and I can hear the keyboards clicking away already with some great ideas plus novel thoughts to email to the Giants.
Todd Kerman and his crew are always looking to bring the game closer to the fans and followers of the sport so now is your chance. Be the “Giants GM for the Day” and realize your dream and see your thoughts put into action.
Todd finished by saying. “Maybe you have some feedback that you would want to pass on to the Odyssey Arena? So now is your chance to have your say and tell us what you would change about the organization if you stepped into Todd Kelman’s shoes for the day.
We are always looking to improve and we want to hear your ideas, your feedback, your constructive criticism – we want to know what you would do if you were GM For A Day”.
Don’t worry all of your thoughts and suggestions will be read by Belfast Giants staff so who knows what might become of your idea!
Simply email email@example.com with the Subject ‘GM For A Day’. So go put your suit on (not your skates) and your thinking cap then get in touch!
